AddisHome connects people directly — money and goods change hands in person. These six rules prevent almost every problem we see.
Meet in a public place
Arrange handover at the shop, a busy street or a compound gate. For large items, bring a friend along.
Inspect before you pay
Check joints, drawers, upholstery and any damage described in the listing. Ask for extra photos first.
Never pay in full up front
Pay on delivery or pickup. Be suspicious of anyone asking for a deposit before you see the item.
Keep contact on the platform
Use in-app messages or the callback request. It keeps a record if something goes wrong.
Check the seller
Look for the verified badge, read reviews, and check how long the shop has been active.
Report anything suspicious
Prices far below market, refusal to meet, or pressure to pay quickly are red flags. Report the listing.
Safety: Sellers: describe damage honestly and keep your phone number up to date. Listings that misrepresent condition get removed and the shop can lose its verified badge.
